We researched which natural materials manage warmth, moisture and airflow best. That research led us to Cashmere, Royal Alpaca and Silk, and we built Herdmate around them. Together, they help create a balanced microclimate around your baby for longer, more comfortable stretches of sleep.

WHY HERDMATE BEGAN
Herdmate began with sensitive skin and sleepless nights.
We found surprisingly few baby sleep products designed with both skin health and temperature regulation in mind.
So we started with the most exquisite materials available on earth.
Cashmere, Royal Alpaca and Silk have evolved in nature to manage changing temperatures while remaining remarkably soft and breathable. We brought those qualities to baby sleep, choosing these exceptional fibers for what they do best.

The Highlands collection brings together cashmere, mulberry silk, and organic Pima cotton, chosen to support steady warmth and gentle contact with sensitive skin.

The Andes collection is crafted in Royal alpaca and mulberry silk, selected for environments where breathability and thermal balance matter most.
Royal alpaca provides lightweight, naturally thermoregulating warmth and is hypoallergenic by nature, while mulberry silk offers a smooth, low-friction surface that supports skin comfort and helps maintain hydration during sleep.
